Zaira, RVT

However, her journey would soon take her across continents and into the realms of animal care and conservation. Zaira embarked on an adventure and moved to Taipei, immersing herself in the rich culture and dynamic energy of Taiwan for three transformative years.
In 2012, Zaira settled in North Carolina, drawn by its natural beauty and close-knit communities. Here, she pursued her dreams of making a difference in the lives of animals by enrolling in Cape Fear Community College. She dedicated herself to her studies, ultimately earning a degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. Though her initial aspiration was to become a veterinarian, Zaira found her calling as a veterinary technician.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Zaira finds solace and joy in the great outdoors. She can often be found exploring the scenic trails of North Carolina, accompanied by her beloved canine companions, Sadie and Lucielle. An accomplished bass guitarist, she finds catharsis in the rhythmic melodies she creates.
One summer, Zaira had the remarkable opportunity to work at The Wilds in Ohio, a renowned conservation center dedicated to protecting endangered exotic animals. As she continues on her journey, Zaira remains committed to her mission of advocating for animals and protecting the natural world.
